Summary:

The QA Testing Analyst Lead role for the IT Commercial Technology group, will be responsible for manual testing and act as project test lead for multiple projects. This includes planning and coordinating the testing as well as creating and executing test strategy documents for projects impacting systems in the Commercial Operations areas.

This role requires experience in System Integration Testing (SIT), DR and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Incumbent will be responsible for multiple, concurrent testing efforts as needed. Coordination with project resources is critical (test analysts, project managers and business SME's will be key).

Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead the development and maintenance of automated test suites for backend systems, including APIs, databases, and file processing workflows.

Design and execute performance tests using JMeter to validate system scalability and reliability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, ensuring comprehensive coverage across functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.

Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), working closely with business stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure readiness for production.

Mentor QA automation engineers, promoting best practices and technical excellence.

Enhance and maintain reusable test frameworks, utilities, and libraries.

Integrate automated and performance tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous feedback. •

Track, manage, and report defects using industry-standard tools, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with development teams.

Analyze test results, identify defects and bottlenecks, and coordinate resolutions.

Review and improve test coverage, focusing on critical business workflows, edge cases, and data integrity.

Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to optimize automation and performance testing.

Report on test progress, coverage, defect status, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards for software quality, security, and data privacy.

Basic Qualifications:

Min 5 years of Quality Assurance testing and meeting facilitation experience using Automation Frameworks

Minimum 5 years of experience in API automation testing using RestAssured, Karate, or Playwright.

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in leading QA team and working on multiple initiatives in parallel.

Experience with Java Programming Language, shell scripting and SQL writing,

Strong knowledge of performance testing concepts and hands-on experience with JMeter.

Familiarity with database and file automation testing for IBM DB2, SQL and NOSQL database like BigTable or BigQuery.

Exposure to Google Cloud or AWS.

Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipeline like Jenkins, ADO.

Proficiency in defect tracking tools and test management systems. example Jira, ADO

Solid understanding of software development and testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to mentor and lead QA automation engineers.

Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders.

ISTQB or similar testing certification is a plus.

Ability to adapt to change and help come up with plan and estimates in quick turn-around time.
