THE JOB AT A GLANCE

In this position you will be responsible for posting insurance EOB’s, ERAs and daily lockbox deposits. Being analytical is important as daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliation is needed.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Maintain timely posting of payments and cash reconciliation daily

Audit payment history for review of accuracy

Ensure daily/weekly and monthly productivity goals are met

Call insurance companies for missing explanation of benefits

Track down missing payments from insurance companies to be reprocessed

Send missing W9’s for payment processing

Own and drive the research of inaccurate payments

Review work and monitor credit balances

Assist staff across multiple departments with any payment related questions/issues

Strong understanding of provider level adjustments/takebacks

ABOUT YOU

3 + years of medical payment posting experience

Possess analytical and critical thinking skills

Proficient in MS Office Suite and Google Work Space and strong working knowledge of Excel

In depth knowledge of how health insurance works

Extremely organized and have a high attention to detail

Clear understanding of ERAs, EOBs, EFT’s and lockbox functions
