E-Learning Technical Specialist

E-Learning Tech Specialist – this is a hybrid role in San Francisco for a top tier global law firm. This role is responsible for the design/implementation of eLearning for lawyers/staff. This role oversees the strategy/design of e-learning programs, collaborating with IT leadership and teams translating needs into training offerings.

Duties: Research/implements e-learning methods and latest marketplace technologies to provide end-user training on technology topics. Work closely with IT leadership and teams to develop and deliver training across regional offices. Member of IT project teams for high visibility initiatives. Create implementation plans for e-learning programs. Collect information and course elements from IT SMEs and stakeholders to plan course content. Design learning materials and review educational content to incorporate current technology in developing specific eLearning curricula. Measure usage of learning offerings against pre-determined performance indicators to identify areas of improvement. Work with vendors of e-learning technology to adapt technology to firm needs. Assist in negotiating contracts with e-learning vendors regarding work requirements

Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Technical certifications preferred (adult education, multimedia training materials development). Must have at least five years of relevant experience in a large law firm or professional services firm or legal services provider firm. Experience working in a deadline oriented environment, with the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience with a Learning Management System as a developer or administrator. Experience with HTML and audio and video editing software. Experience with instructional design with a focus on adult learning theories. Knowledge of current and emerging e-learning technologies. Understanding of development tools used to build e-learning technologies Experience in training and developing content that meets compliance/accessibility requirements. Knowledgeable of applications and technologies common to a law firm. Salary range is $111k -- $138k+ commensurate with on experience.
