Manager, Data & Analytics Porfolio

Data & Analytics Portfolio Manager – this is a hybrid role in Washington DC for a global law firm. This position is responsible for managing the enterprise wide data strategy, governance, and analytics portfolio. This role oversees the centralization of data management and reporting functions. This role will align analytics initiatives with business objectives across all departments.

Duties: This role provides strategic leadership by defining/executing the enterprise data and analytics strategy and leads the development of a centralized data strategy. Champion data-driven culture and literacy. Establish data governance policies and best practices. Oversee data architecture and compliance. Ensure consistent data definitions, and metadata management. Lead a high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, BI developers, and governance professionals. Manage the analytics project portfolio. Manage vendor relationships, tools, and platforms. Drive automation and performance optimization of data pipelines and reporting. Implement DataOps and agile delivery practices. Monitor KPIs and SLAs for data services. Collaborate with business leaders to understand data needs. Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on data strategy and innovation.

Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree. Technical certifications are preferred. A minimum of eight years of experience in data and analytics leadership roles required. Proven experience managing largescale data environments with over 40 SQL servers, more than 50 applications and integrations. Experience/knowledge of data governance, architecture, and BI tools. Proven leadership, and communication skills. Proven ability to effectively educate stakeholders in the need for data strategy. Experience building consolidated cloud data platforms. Experience implementing data strategy and technology in a large law firm. Experience implementing data strategies and supporting technology platforms. Strong service orientation. Ability to effectively communicate and interact with users with different levels of technical expertise. Excellent problem solving, design, coding, and debugging skills. Salary range is $136k – $204k depending on experience and location.
