Locum Tenens: Gastroenterologist Needed (Near Patterson, IL) (ASAP - Ongoing)

Are you a dedicated and experienced Gastroenterologist seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in a supportive environment near Patterson, IL? We're actively searching for a skilled physician to join our team and provide comprehensive gastroenterology care for patients undergoing scheduled procedures (Job ID: j-229616).

Support Our Team During Maternity Leave:

Make a positive impact by providing temporary coverage for a valued team member on maternity leave (start date: ASAP upon credentialing, estimated 90 days).

Contribute to a collaborative practice with two other experienced Gastroenterologists.

Streamlined Schedule with Call:

Enjoy a focused schedule with no clinic hours, dedicated to inpatient and outpatient scheduled procedures (e.g., ERCP, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy).

Work a flexible schedule of 3-4 days per week, with rounding hours from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM and call responsibilities from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on assigned days (call is not based on a ratio).

Comprehensive Support & Resources:

Benefit from an on-site lab and E-ray for efficient patient care.

Perform both outpatient GI and internal medicine procedures as needed.

Expect to see an average of 12-14 patients per day.

Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for seamless documentation.

Qualifications:

Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology is strongly preferred. A confirmed date for taking the boards is mandatory.

An active Illinois state medical license is required.

Current COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory.

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification are preferred.

Additional Responsibilities:

Follow up with your assigned patients to address any pathology needs and results.
