SUMMARY

The Industrial Manufacturing Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technician is responsible for performing routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance on production machinery to minimize unplanned downtime. This role supports safe and efficient plant operations by diagnosing issues, repairing equipment, and accurately documenting all maintenance activities.

Primary Responsibilities

Execute monthly preventive maintenance schedules

Perform lubrication, part replacements, and equipment cleaning

Inspect machinery for wear, and damage

Identify root causes of equipment malfunctions

Record possible maintenance repairs

Maintain accurate service logs and equipment histories

Report recurring issues and recommend corrective actions

Follow all company safety procedures and industry regulations

Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols

Maintain clean and organized work areas

Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement

Minimize production downtime through efficient problem resolution

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED required

Technical school certification or apprenticeship preferred

Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical maintenance environments

Experience with high-volume production equipment preferred

Proficient with hand tools, and power tools

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Attention to detail

Ability to work independently and with a team

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Experience in industrial or high-volume manufacturing plant environment required

Frequent standing, walking, heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds), bending, and climbing

May require working at heights or in confined spaces

Exposure to noise, heat, and moving machinery

Competitive pay commensurate with skill set. An aptitude test is required for selected candidates.
