This is a hands on role focused on programming, operating, and optimizing CMM equipment to ensure tight tolerance aerospace components meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

Program and operate CMM equipment for first article, in process, and final inspections

Develop inspection programs using PC-DMIS or similar CMM software

Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications

Perform dimensional inspections on tight tolerance machined components

Create inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation

Support root cause analysis and corrective actions related to quality issues

Collaborate with machining, engineering, and quality teams to improve processes

Maintain calibration and ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards

Qualifications

3+ years of CMM programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment

Strong working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation

Experience inspecting complex machined parts

Proficiency with PC-DMIS or comparable CMM software

Familiarity with aerospace quality systems preferred (AS9100 experience is a plus)

Ability to work independently and prioritize inspection workload
