Java Engineer

Location: Riverwoods, IL

Salary: $50.00 USD Hourly - $60.00 USD Hourly

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled engineer with strong expertise in backend development and modern integration technologies. The ideal candidate should have deep experience in Java, Spring frameworks, and API development, along with a solid understanding of security and messaging systems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, etc.).

Build and optimize RESTful APIs for scalable, high-performance systems.

Work with security protocols, including SSL, certificate management, and access control lists (ACLs).

Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines.

Integrate applications with messaging technologies such as Kafka, WebSphere MQ, or RabbitMQ.

Must-Have Skills

Strong proficiency in Java

Hands-on experience with Spring Boot

Experience with at least one UI technology

Proven ability to design and develop RESTful APIs

Experience with Trident (if this refers to the specific internal framework/tool)

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with Kafka, WebSphere MQ, or RabbitMQ
