Job Title: OSP Engineer

Location: Walnut Creek, CA (Hybrid)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled OSP Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in fiber plant design and telecommunications infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, project coordination skills, and a solid understanding of construction practices and permitting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and plan fiber optic networks and oversee construction activities.

Apply knowledge of telecommunications, data networking, and wireless systems.

Utilize advanced computer applications including Word, Excel, Visio, ArcGIS/ESRI, 3GIS, and Google Earth.

Ensure quality control over construction and adherence to local practices.

Manage engineering systems and databases effectively.

Coordinate with vendors and permitting agencies to ensure timely approvals.

Conduct site surveys, pre-construction meetings, and field inspections.

Understand and apply right-of-way and property rights regulations.

Must-Have Skills:

Strong knowledge of Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering.

Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts.

Proficiency in GIS and drafting tools.

Solid project management capabilities.

Desired Skills:

Expertise in 3GIS.

Experience with construction drawings and as-built documentation.

Familiarity with permit management processes.

Education & Certifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years in a related field).
