Senior Security Architect

Long term Contract

Waterford, MI 48328

Hybrid role - at least 2 days on site

Role Summary:

This is a senior-level security architect role focused on application security and DevSecOps. The architect will define security requirements, design and implement security systems, and develop security standards, policies, and procedures across on-prem, DR, and cloud environments. Strong emphasis is on supporting software development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement security requirements for applications and infrastructure

Design security systems and solutions (LAN/WAN/VPN/firewalls, etc.)

Architect PKI (CAs, digital signatures, hardware/software)

Define and enforce security standards, policies, and procedures

Mentor and support security team members

Required Experience (Must-Have):

Application Security / DevSecOps experience

Track record of supporting software development teams

Strong security architecture background (enterprise + hybrid environments)

Experience with network security technologies (firewalls, VPN, routers, etc.)

PKI design and implementation experience

Preferred:

Experience in governance/security standards

DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, IaC, containers)

Mentoring/leadership experience
