About the Role

We are seeking a Teradata Infrastructure Engineer to support specialized Teradata software and hardware components. This is not an Application DBA role. The position focuses on infrastructure engineering and operational support outside the Teradata database environment.

You'll work with a variety of Teradata technologies, UNIX systems, and enterprise tools while contributing to process improvements and supporting low- to moderately-complex engineering initiatives.

What You'll Do

Support Teradata infrastructure components including:

Data Mover

Viewpoint

QueryGrid

Teradata BCM

Perform hands-on administration and troubleshooting in UNIX (SLES) environments.

Participate in engineering efforts related to:

Certificate management

Vulnerability management

Data Domain and object storage systems

Ansible and EPLX automation

Contribute to Database Engineering initiatives with low to moderate complexity.

Research, analyze, and recommend solutions to tactical engineering challenges.

Apply sound judgment while developing understanding of internal policies, procedures, and compliance needs.

Collaborate with internal partners and provide technical information related to infrastructure engineering.

Identify and recommend process improvements within Database Engineering. Preferred Skills

Experience setting up and supporting Teradata Vantage Cloud Lake

General experience with AI technologies

Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities in enterprise environments Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in Database Engineering or equivalent experience through:

Consulting

Professional work

Technical training

Military experience
