Location: Richardson, TX

Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly - $65.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Ultra-Long Distance (ULH) Transport Engineer

JOB DUTIES:

The Transport Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, planning, implementation, testing and turn-up of Long Distance (LD) Ultra Long Haul (UHL) transport network.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

Experience in the telecommunications industry

Technical knowledge of long-distance, ultra-long haul and OTN mesh networks

Equipment Knowledge specific to Sonet/SDH, ULH, OTN mesh and WDM transport

Vendor Specific Knowledge: Ciena, Infinera, Fujitsu and varied long haul networks

System Knowledge: BGW or Granite (XNG), CoFEE(Canvas), Nautilus, ICON, CCP, Venue, 3GIS/FIMS

Job requirements specific to engineering and design of ultra-long haul transport

Experience managing complex processes and driving results

Experience with Windows-based programs and corporate database systems

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or relevant experience

Five or more years of telecom work experience
