About the Role

This role focuses on executing a repeatable and auditable Verification & Validation (V&V) process for safety-critical embedded software. You will contribute to unit, integration, and system-level testing activities while ensuring compliance with stringent safety standards. The position requires hands-on testing, documentation, traceability analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in project Kick-off and Baseline Review meetings

Align on baseline artifacts, tools, environments, and review software requirements, design, and architecture

Develop, execute, and document unit, integration, and system-level test cases

Conduct structural and functional testing based on safety-critical software requirements

Configure static analysis tools, unit test frameworks, and CI pipelines

Perform code reviews, static analysis, and compliance checks

Conduct full traceability across requirements, design, code, and tests

Populate and maintain DOORS for bi-directional traceability

Generate test procedures, test reports, defect logs, and certification evidence

Design test cases including boundary, stress, and fault-injection scenarios

Track, verify, and close defects including root-cause analysis

Run nightly test cycles, capture logs, maintain defect databases, and issue weekly status reports

Qualifications

2-4 years of experience in embedded software development

Strong hands-on programming experience in C

2-4 years of experience in software testing or fault-insertion testing

Experience with DOORS (1-2 years)

Proficiency in creating and executing test plans for safety-critical software

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Experience with C++

Prior work with certification-driven industries (avionics, automotive, rail, medical devices)

Familiarity with static analysis automation and CI pipelines
