Data Management Consultant (Contingent Worker)

About the Role
In this contingent assignment, you will provide expert consultation on large-scale, complex Data Management initiatives. You will analyze multidimensional data challenges, evaluate cross-functional impacts, and help drive high-quality solutions that meet compliance, regulatory, and operational standards. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, deep knowledge of data governance practices, and the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead analysis on complex, large-scale Data Management challenges and provide strategic recommendations.
Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance across key reporting frameworks (e.g., FR 2052a, CRA, FR Y-14M, BSA/AML).
Analyze large and complex datasets to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and data quality issues.
Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements and deliverables.
Define, document, and maintain data quality rules, standards, and associated metadata.
Manage and monitor data flows while maintaining visibility into end-to-end data lineage.
Ensure adherence to enterprise data governance standards and best practices.
Collaborate with internal teams to investigate, resolve, and communicate data-related issues.
Partner with stakeholders to facilitate working sessions, drive alignment, and support decision-making. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management (or equivalent experience via consulting, military service, or training).
Strong domain expertise in financial services, especially within Commercial Banking.
Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data profiling methodologies.
Demonstrated knowledge of data quality principles, frameworks, and regulatory reporting practices.
Experience with data modeling, metadata management, and data lineage analysis.
Familiarity with key regulatory frameworks such as FR Y-14Q, BSA/AML, and 2052a.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong stakeholder management, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Experience leading stakeholder working groups or collaborative sessions. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data quality technologies (e.g., Ab Initio IT Express, Alteryx, Qualytics).
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), especially BigQuery.
Familiarity with AI platforms such as Tachyon, Microsoft Copilot, or ChatGPT.
