RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Engineer in Aurora, CO.

Summary:

This role will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of enterprise-level Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and Wireless LAN (WLAN) environments supporting both voice and data applications.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, implement, monitor, and administer enterprise data network systems

* Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software

* Support and maintain LAN, WAN, and WLAN environments

* Implement and monitor network security standards and infrastructure protections

* Troubleshoot complex network performance issues across multiple environments

* Create and maintain network technical documentation and topology diagrams

* Develop technology roadmaps and support solution rationalization efforts

* Track time spent on tickets and project-based work

* Coordinate with vendors and telecommunications service providers

* Recommend and assist with network upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management

* Communicate technical issues clearly to stakeholders and leadership

REQUIREMENTS:

* Associate's degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

* Minimum 2 years of Network Administrator experience

* Strong Juniper experience

* Experience supporting enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN environments

* Experience with network security technologies including firewalls, IPS, and VPNs

* Routing and switching experience including MPLS, BGP, and VLAN configuration

* Experience with DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft network operating systems

Preferred Certifications:

* CCNA (Routing & Switching)

* CCNP (Enterprise)

* PCNSE (Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer)

* ITIL Foundations - IT Service Management

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in Palo Alto firewall environments

* Cisco Unified Communications experience (Unity, UCX, CUCM administration)

* Microwave radio network and wireless data infrastructure experience

* Experience working within multiple network topologies

* Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools

* Change management process experience

* Experience managing multiple concurrent projects

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
