Engineering Technician - Automation

In this newly added role, you'll play a key part in supporting our client's Automation Engineering team with the development, build, and installation of manufacturing equipment and tooling, with a strong focus on mechatronics.

We are open to hiring for either a full-time direct hire or a contract position, depending on your preference.

Fully Onsite in Andover, MA

What you'll do:

Lead installation of equipment and manufacturing lines

Perform mechanical assembly, alignment, and integration of sensors, scanners, and PLC systems

Troubleshoot automation systems, including PLCs, I/O, sensors, and motion controllers

Support continuous improvement projects and ensure compliance with safety standards

Collaborate with engineering on design improvements and provide training for operators

What we're looking for:

Associate degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (+2 years hands-on experience)

OR Technical high school graduate with emphasis on Robotics/Automation (+3 years experience)

Experience with mechanical assembly and automated equipment

Familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks) and electrical measurement tools

PLC & HMI experience is a plus
