Position Overview
The Lead Application Administrator is responsible for overseeing enterprise application administration, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring platforms are secure, scalable, and standardized. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, guiding best practices and enabling seamless system performance across the organization.
What You'll Do
Establish Standards: Define, document, and enforce best practices and operating procedures for application administration.
System Oversight: Lead configuration, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise applications and product-related systems.
Performance & Security: Implement proactive monitoring and processes to ensure applications meet SLAs for performance, availability, and security.
Enable Adoption: Deliver user training, documentation, and change management support to maximize adoption and effective system usage.
Business Partnership: Build strong relationships with stakeholders, identify pain points, validate concerns through audits, and assess business impact.
Collaboration: Work closely with vendors, project managers, and development teams to deliver enhancements and new features.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize system performance and efficiency through feedback analysis and innovation.
Automation: Design and implement automation for routine administrative tasks and workflows.
Integration Management: Oversee integrations with enterprise applications, ensuring seamless data flow via APIs and automation tools.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with QA, Integration, Release Management, and IT functions to mature processes and improve outcomes.
Upgrades & Deployments: Lead system upgrades, migrations, and feature rollouts while minimizing downtime.
Strategic Guidance: Advise stakeholders on configuration options aligned with project goals.
Clear Communication: Translate technical issues into business terms and provide transparent status updates with contingency planning.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Workday Platform Administrator or Coupa Certified Administrator certification preferred.
7+ years of experience in system analysis, implementation, and administration.
Strong expertise in SaaS and on-premise application architecture and security.
Proven experience with system integrations and data flows.
Hands-on experience administering corporate retail applications such as HRMS, Finance, Budgeting/Planning, Time & Attendance, Spend Management, Procure-to-Pay, or Document Management.
Familiarity with integration tools (e.g., Informatica) and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle EBS, SAP) strongly preferred.
End-to-end functional knowledge of procurement, invoicing, and expense management workflows.
Advanced scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell, APIs)
