Position Overview

Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Customer Service Department. Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication.

Essential Job Functions

Follows all standard operating procedures relevant to job, position and department.

Upon receipt of request for quote, makes preliminary study of supplied information and samples.

Gathers additional information from customer or salesperson if needed.

Determines required structural design, graphics, method of printing, special finishes, embossing, stamping, etc. with production management.

Ensures departmental procedures properly reflect the way estimates are produced.

Plans estimate consistent with demands of quality, production economies and equipment limitations.

Prepares accurate estimate of all material costs connected with job according to current prices received from Purchasing.

Prepares accurate estimate of all manufacturing costs for all operations connected with job, using correctly evaluated standards and current cost center rates.

Apply all costs from outside operations.

Provides technical ideas and analysis to customers, as directed

Maintains customer service orientation at all times with regard to delivering quality estimates in a timely, accurate fashion.

Maintains estimating standards files. Reviews on a periodic basis to ensure the accuracy of the files.

Reviews actual job performance. Updates the estimate to reflect the actual costs when appropriate.

Keeps up to date on all latest improvements in methods, processes, materials and equipment.

Observes all safety rules and procedures.

Keeps work area organized, neat, and clean.

Performs other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must have high school diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent. Associate degree preferred.

Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, job tickets, and procedural manuals.

Must be able to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, and Excel.

Must be detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.

Must have exceptional communication skills.

Must have superior organization and follow up skills.

Must be dedicated to completing projects in a timely manner.

Must have 1 to 2 years experience with office work.

Must be able to maintain good attendance.

Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

Must be reliable and dependable.
