Roosevelt University's Department of Biological, Physical and Health Sciences seeks to fill a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position, beginning August 2026.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide in-person lecture and laboratory instruction in Biochemistry and related Biology or Chemistry courses at the undergraduate and graduate (master's) levels, and to develop a collaborative research program involving students in the applicant's area of expertise.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to: * Providing exceptional classroom and laboratory instruction in biochemistry courses and in other upper-level and graduate courses as appropriate.
* Incorporating evidence-based teaching methods that enhance learning outcomes for all students.
* Engaging in scholarly and professional development activities that contribute to scientific knowledge and provide student research training opportunities, including master's thesis sponsorship.
* Mentoring students as they navigate their majors and prepare for the workforce.
* Active participation in the improvement of curriculum and assessment for the biochemistry major.
Service on department and college-level working groups and governance.
