Fabrication Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a Fabrication Machine Operator to join our team in Argyle! You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of several different machines used in the fabrication process.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Machine Operation: Expertise in setting up and operating fabrication equipment including CNC, press brake, mills and saws to produce custom and standard items by following blueprints.

Technical Interpretation: Be able to read and interpret blueprints - both electronic and paper, work orders, and technical drawings to determine specifications.

Quality Control: Inspect finished products for imperfections and verifying dimensions against tolerances.

Maintenance: Must be able to perform basic, routine maintenance and minor adjustments to ensure machinery runs efficiently.

Safety & Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols, such as OSHA, and maintaining a clean work area.

Material Handling: Lifting and loading raw materials onto machines.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Machine use and operation - must have expertise in the operation of machines used for fabrication. Must be able to independently use and maintain machines and tools.

Certified Welder - structural and fabrication - ok if expired.

Experience in manufacturing and custom fabrication (5+ years)

Understand project workflow and be able to manage time and materials to accomplish tasks efficiently

Leadership skills - work with a team and direct team members in tasks, willing to train other team members

Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to use precision measuring tools.

Experience: Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is often preferred, though many offer on-the-job training.

Physical Ability: Capability to stand, bend, and lift materials.
