JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is an entry level position and will be expected to work under the guidance and direction of the Maintenance Manager. To be successful in this position, the Maintenance Utility Technician must be proactive and responsible for the timely completion of day-to-day tasks and preventative maintenance activities. This position will also assist department maintenance technicians as needed with minor repairs and tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Basic troubleshooting and maintenance for all manufacturing adhesive and mold release application systems.
Locate parts and components within the maintenance inventory system.
Maintain inventory of essential replacement parts and filters.
Clean and maintain all building ventilation fans.
Replace building filters.
Replace light bulbs and lamps as needed.
Basic knowledge of the work order and preventive maintenance systems.
Perform minor machine repairs within the work order and preventive maintenance systems.
Perform basic alignment and calibrations.
Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
Inform appropriate employees of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
Maintain machine and equipment records.
Participate in facility housekeeping and remain alert to potentially hazardous conditions and situations.
Perform seasonal tasks, snow removal, outside grounds maintenance & clean up.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1-2 years of experience in basic mechanical or building maintenance.
Strong mechanical aptitude, organizational, and time management skills.
Understanding and knowledge of common hand and power tools.
Ability to safely operate forklifts and motorized electrical work platforms (MEWP's).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to work well individually and in a team environment.
