Primary Purpose and Function
The Admissions Coordinator is the first point of contact for new clients, families, and guarantors arriving onsite at all treatment programs. This position is responsible for ensuring a positive admission experience and is the continued contact for treatment extensions.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Facilitate day-of-admission at the outpatient, residential, and detox program
Prepare new client materials
Execute onsite paperwork, signatures, and all compliance related day-of- admission operations
Complete clinical assessments on day of admission
Complete post-admission orientation and manage 72 hour post admission timeline for compliance
Provide prospective client and family tours of all programs and houses
Provide psychoeducation support to clients as guided by the clinical team
Assist with client discharges
Maintain accurate facility daily census across all locations
Facilitate and document treatment extensions; contact guarantors for additional funds as needed; liaison with billing department
Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Knowledge of HIPAA Requirements, TJC and other licensing bodies
Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (EMR)
Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally

Cultural competency and client-centered care approach
Preferred Qualifications
Current CPR & First Aid Certification and TB/Health Screen within 60 days of employment (or willing to obtain upon 7 days of hire)
Basic computer skills, experience in MS Office or Google Suite preferred
Experience in a behavioral health treatment facility preferred
Coursework in psychology, addiction studies or social work preferred
Valid driver's license, clean driving record and insurable by our insurance carrier
Physical Demands / Work Environment
Ability to sit, stand, walk, and respond quickly to emergencies
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
Exposure to clients in emotional distress or crisis situations
Work performed in office, residential, or detox environment
Salary Description
26-28 an hour depending on experience
