Quality Systems Administrator - This position Reports to the President of the company. This position is a direct Liaison to our customers and must meet all requirements to be considered for this position.
Position Summary
The Quality Systems Administrator is responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure product conformity, process control, customer satisfaction, and profitability. This position maintains and ensures company ISO compliance and drives corrective and preventive action systems.
This role provides technical leadership of quality functions.
The ideal candidate must be willing to travel as required, possess exceptional attention to detail, and demonstrate strong communication skills when working with customers, vendors, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field
Minimum 2+ years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment (sheet metal/fabrication preferred).
Strong working knowledge of ISO standards and audit processes.
Demonstrated experience maintaining ISO compliance and leading audits.
Proficiency in GD&T interpretation and technical blueprint reading.
Experience with measurement systems analysis (MSA), GR&R, SPC, and root cause methodologies.
Strong leadership and cross-functional management skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel as required.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Quality Management System (QMS) & ISO Compliance
Maintain and continuously improve the company’s ISO-compliant Quality Management System.
Ensure compliance with all applicable ISO standards, customer-specific requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Lead internal quality system audits and coordinate external registrar and customer audits.
Develop, update, and control quality documentation including procedures, work instructions, forms, and records.
Product & Process Quality Control
Develop, implement, and maintain inspection standards, control plans, and quality procedures.
Perform and oversee First Article Inspections (FAI) & PPAP for sheet metal components and assemblies.
Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and multi-view prints to verify compliance.
Ensure in-process audits are conducted and documented according to established procedures.
Maintain detailed inspection records and quality documentation.
Corrective Action & Non-Conformance Management
Lead root cause analysis activities using structured problem-solving tools (5-Why, Fishbone, 8D, etc.).
Manage internal and external corrective and preventive action (CAPA) systems.
Customer & Vendor Quality Interface
Serve as primary quality liaison for customers and vendors.
Respond to customer quality concerns, corrective action requests, PPAP, and audit findings.
Travel as required for customer visits, vendor audits, and quality-related activities.
Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats.
