CAD & PLM Architect

Job Description

Design, configure, and administer PLM environments and associated data structures.

Develop and maintain architecture standards across CAD and product development systems.

Build automation scripts and internal tooling to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.

Manage and maintain product data, engineering documentation, and bills of materials (BOMs).

Create and refine workflows supporting configuration management and change control.

Integrate CAD, PLM, and other engineering systems using APIs and automation pipelines.

Partner with cross functional teams to ensure alignment on system requirements and engineering standards.

Provide technical leadership, guidance, and best practices for CAD/PLM usage.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high reliability and data integrity.

Maintain clear, detailed documentation for processes, tools, and system configurations.

Extensive experience with modern CAD tools and PLM platforms (cloud based systems preferred).

Proficiency in Python, scripting languages, and parametric modeling configuration languages.

Hands-on experience with API integrations and CI/CD development workflows.

Strong documentation, version control, and configuration management skills.

Background in mechanical design or related engineering discipline; experience in specialized domains is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to automate tasks and build internal engineering tools.

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
