Description:

Senior Project Manager - Kronos Timekeeper

Position Description

CGI is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a multi-phase timekeeping modernization and standardization program across U.S. and Canadian operations. The Senior Project Manager will drive end-to-end delivery (initiation deployment operational readiness), partner with cross-functional stakeholders (HRIS, Payroll, Security/IAM, Infrastructure, Integrations, Operations), manage risks and finances, and present clear, data-driven updates to executive leadership.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution ( 30%)

. Build and maintain detailed project plans (schedules, dependencies, constraints, resource allocations).

. Resolve resource conflicts, assess impacts to delivery timelines, enforce SDLC/process standards, and forecast estimates to complete.

. Lead delivery of timekeeping platform replacement/consolidation initiatives (migration from legacy systems to modern timekeeping solutions).

. Apply hands-on program knowledge of Timekeeper/Kronos or similar workforce/timekeeping systems to guide scheduling, time tracking, and payroll-critical milestones.

Stakeholder Communication & Governance ( 30%)

. Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans; facilitate core team meetings and executive steering forums.

. Prepare and present executive-level status, trends, risks, decisions, and trade-offs.

. Coordinate interdependencies across HRIS, Payroll, Security/IAM, Infrastructure, Integrations, Operations, and contingent workforce platforms.

Deliverables & Change Management ( 25%)

. Drive completion of interim and final deliverables; manage tollgates and stakeholder approvals.

. Maintain a centralized repository of project documentation and deliverables.

. Prepare and manage change requests and partner with change management for communications, training, and operational readiness.

Status Reporting, Risk & Financial Management ( 15%)

. Produce weekly status reports, track open issues, and maintain a robust risk register (probability, severity, mitigation).

. Manage program budget and financial plans; track actuals vs. forecast and report monthly projections and accruals.

. Own program-level risk management related to wage & hour compliance, audit readiness, workforce scale, and payroll accuracy.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

. Deep knowledge of project management methodologies and PMO governance.

. Proven experience managing multiple concurrent, cross-functional workstreams at enterprise scale.

. Experience leading enterprise system implementations, replacements, or consolidations — ideally in timekeeping or workforce management platforms (Infor Timekeeper, Kronos, or similar).

. Advanced financial management skills (budgeting, forecasting, CapEx vs. OpEx, depreciation).

. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, macro-enabled workbooks).

. Experience with enterprise PPM tools (Clarity, Planview, ServiceNow SPM, or similar).

. Ability to create both executive-level roadmaps and task-level project plans.

. Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to executive audiences.

. Strong risk, issue, and dependency management capabilities.

. Experience working with payroll-critical systems and integrations in regulated environments.

Nice-to-have

. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification

. ITIL certification

. Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt)

. Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM

. Experience in regulated industries (transportation, logistics, healthcare, financial services)
