Salary Range: $135,000 - $155,000 DOE + Comprehensive Benefits Package

Overview:

Osprey Talent Solutions is supporting a mission-focused national security partner seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, build, and deploy secure, scalable applications within a multi-enclave enterprise environment.

This role supports high-visibility investigative and data-driven mission systems operating across classified domains. The selected candidate will contribute to architecture, development, and integration efforts while ensuring performance, security, and maintainability across complex application ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain secure software solutions using modern development practices

Architect and implement backend services and APIs supporting enterprise data platforms

Integrate applications with databases, search platforms, and messaging systems

Automate deployments and configuration management within secure environments

Support application performance tuning, scalability, and security hardening

Collaborate across engineering, infrastructure, and security teams

Participate in Agile planning and release activities

Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior developers Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Eight or more years of experience in software development

Active TS/SCI clearance

Strong proficiency in Python and/or Java

Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and distributed services

Experience with relational databases and SQL

Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Experience integrating messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Redis

Experience working within cloud environments supporting national security missions

Strong understanding of secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles Preferred Experience:

Experience with Elasticsearch or other search/indexing platforms

Experience with data streaming and integration technologies such as Apache NiFi

Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform)

Experience supporting ETL workflows or large-scale data processing

Familiarity with observability platforms such as Splunk

Experience working in classified, multi-enclave environments Work Environment:
