Salary Range: $135,000 - $155,000 DOE + Comprehensive Benefits Package

Overview:

Osprey Talent Solutions is supporting a mission-focused national security partner seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong GraphQL expertise to design, build, and integrate modern API-driven applications within a secure, multi-enclave enterprise environment.

This role supports high-visibility investigative and data-driven mission systems. The selected candidate will contribute to the design and implementation of scalable GraphQL services, support frontend integration, and ensure performance, security, and maintainability across distributed application architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement GraphQL APIs supporting enterprise mission systems

Integrate GraphQL services with frontend applications using modern frameworks

Develop and maintain backend services in Python and related technologies

Ensure secure API design, versioning, and integration best practices

Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability

Integrate applications with databases, search platforms, and messaging systems

Participate in Agile planning and release activities

Collaborate across engineering, infrastructure, and security teams Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Eight or more years of experience in software development

Active TS/SCI clearance

Strong experience designing and implementing GraphQL APIs

Experience integrating GraphQL with React-based frontend frameworks (React Relay preferred)

Proficiency in Python

Experience designing RESTful and distributed services

Experience with relational databases and SQL

Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Strong understanding of secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles Preferred Experience:

Experience with Elasticsearch or other search/indexing platforms

Experience integrating messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Redis

Experience working within cloud environments supporting national security missions

Experience working in classified, multi-enclave environments Work Environment:

On-site in Chantilly, VA

U.S. citizenship required. Must be eligible to complete agency-specific polygraph requirements
