CNC Laser Technician

Job Summary

A precision manufacturing facility in Devens, MA is seeking a CNC Laser Technician responsible for setting up and operating CNC laser equipment used in the production of precision components. This role involves machine setup, parameter adjustments, inspection of finished parts, and ensuring dimensional accuracy and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC laser machines for precision manufacturing operations

Adjust machine settings including feed rates, power parameters, and material settings

Ensure quality standards and dimensional consistency in all manufactured parts

Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and geometric tolerances (GD&T)

Modify or adjust CNC programs using basic mathematical conversions and scaling

Perform basic fixturing setups including vices, V-blocks, and rotary fixtures

Work with CNC G-Code for machine setup and operation

Inspect components using microscopes and light-source inspection tools

Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances

Follow written and visual work instructions while maintaining strong attention to detail

Manage workflow and maintain production efficiency

Qualifications

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances (GD&T)

Experience setting up and operating CNC laser machines

Understanding of feed rates, power parameters, and material properties

Basic knowledge of CNC programming and G-Code

Experience using precision measuring instruments

Strong attention to detail and quality standards

Effective time management and organizational skills
