Job Description
Valex Corp is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its engineering team in Ventura, CA. The primary purpose of this position is to design, test, qualify, and support manufacturing systems, components, equipment, and machinery for production operations. Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical systems, components, equipment, tooling, and automated machinery.
Develop technical documentation including drawings, manuals, electrical schematics, and work instructions.
Build, assemble, and test prototype and production-level projects.
Conduct root cause analysis and lead process or equipment improvements.
Use CAD and automation related software to design equipment, tooling, fixtures, and schematics.
Support automation efforts such as PLC based systems and ladder logic (as applicable).
Propose and implement design improvements and contribute to long term technical solutions.
Collaborate cross functionally
Perform other engineering duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
Equivalent industry experience may be accepted in lieu of a formal degree.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
Must be able to work in the USA without company sponsorship.
Preferred Technical Skills
Understanding of design principles and CAD best practices.
Experience designing components, assemblies, weldments, and schematics across varying complexity levels.
Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM).
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software based control systems.
Physical Requirements
Sitting ~50%, standing ~35%, walking ~15% during a typical day.
Occasional bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting, grasping, and overhead reaching (up to 40 lb).

Meet project timelines and deliver effective engineering solutions.
Provide clear documentation and maintain effective communication.
Demonstrate innovation, professionalism, flexibility, and teamwork.
Classification & Compensation
Full-time, Regular, Exempt
Pay range is $85K/yr to $125K/yr DOE
