Job Description

Efficient Contractors, Inc. (ECI) is seeking a Drywall Estimator to join our team. Our services include cold formed & light gauge metal framing, drywall & finishing, rough carpentry, insulation and ACT.

Position Summary:

Seeking experienced candidates to lead in Estimating

Primary Responsibilities include: Cost estimating, bidding, preparation of detailed written proposals, scope review, contract negotiation, buyout/final pricing, project set up, pre-construction, attending project meetings, and maintaining pertinent project documentation.

Additional responsibilities include:

Analyze plan documents and other data to prepare accurate, detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates

Communicate effectively as part of a team and understand sales and negotiating techniques

Comprehensive of industry unit pricing in order to create effective and precise budgets.

Communicate with multiple vendors to prepare material costs and up-to-date pricing information for bids.

Attend project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews as required.

Competent in offering value engineering recommendations to clients and management.

Follow up on proposals and provide updates and feedback to management.

Develop and maintain accurate unit cost databases.

Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.

Capable of validating subcontractor proposals and vendor quotes quickly and accurately.

Skillful in understanding contract specifications.

Skills / Qualifications:

Required:

Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Drywall Estimating

Must be experienced with Onscreen Takeoff & Quick-Bid Software

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Proficient in reading and interpreting Architectural & Structural drawings.

Complete knowledge and experience with metal framing, drywall, finishing and carpentry.

Detail-oriented, logical, and methodical approach to problem solving.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Solid organization, time management and prioritization skills.

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree
