RENDERING OPERATOR

Position Sumary

Maintains rendering process from raw materials bin to finished goods storage.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintains cooker temperature, rate, and steam at required operating levels.

Controls flow of material to presses and to finished goods storage.

Loads out-finish product onto trucks.

Operated pollution control system including air/outdoor control system.

Performs periodic preventative maintenance on equipment.

Monitors machinery and brings all problems to attention of supervisor.

Assures equipment and work area is clean after each shift.

Operates forklift.

Performs hourly testing on product to ensure specifications are being met.

Handles minor problems involving equipment or various situations.

Follows departmental and company procedures and policies.

Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.

All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Must demonstrate positive attitude, strong work ethic, and be a team player

Basic computer literacy and administrative experience

Knowledge of mechanical rendering and process of equipment preferred

Skilled in general mechanics and safe operation

Good mechanical aptitude and equipment trouble shooting

Must be 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US

Must be able to read, write and speak English
