Responsible for managing purchasing processes, including PO creation, supplier coordination, and urgent procurement needs to ensure materials are delivered on time, within specifications, and in compliance with company policies.
Main Accountabilities :
Create and manage accurate Purchase Orders (POs) based on user requirements, including sourcing goods, preparing purchase lists, and selecting appropriate shipping methods to ensure timely procurement according to specifications and cost targets.
Verify order details and pricing to ensure alignment with contracts and company agreements before issuing orders to suppliers.
Coordinate with suppliers to secure order confirmations, ensure all orders are received, and monitor delivery schedules to meet user requirements.
Manage urgent purchasing requests by working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to minimize operational disruptions.
Maintain purchasing administration and documentation, including recording purchase orders and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Process procurement transactions in the system, including invoice entry for the GRN process (Epiroc Products) and maintaining accurate procurement records.
Prepare reports on purchasing activities and workload to support operational planning and decision-making.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Accounting, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
Strong knowledge of purchase order (PO) processes, supplier coordination, and procurement administration.
Good understanding of procurement policies, compliance, and documentation management.
Ability to handle urgent purchasing requirements and manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication, negotiation, and coordination skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently and in a team environment.
