A leading international technology distribution business is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth and strengthen customer relationships within the Angola market.
This role is responsible for managing sales activities, developing regional business plans, building strong client relationships, and identifying new market opportunities. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market presence while ensuring strong operational delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all sales activities within Angola to generate order intake and profitable revenue growth.
Develop and execute regional and account-based sales business plans to achieve targets.
Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities within the market.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Act as a trusted advisor within the sales channel and to end customers.
Support customers throughout the sales cycle, helping progress and close opportunities.
Manage and maintain an accurate sales pipeline, including monthly forecasting.
Analyse customer needs and collaborate with internal teams to develop appropriate solutions.
Prepare proposals, bids, and supporting documentation within required timeframes.
Support the preparation of demonstrations and product presentations aligned with market needs.
Conduct competitive analysis to identify market trends and positioning opportunities.
Ensure adherence to internal bid, quote, and audit processes.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and partners to deliver projects on time and within scope.
Maintain strong relationships with regional customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 5 years relevant experience within telecommunications networks or a related technology environment.
Fluent in Portuguese and English
Strong understanding of network planning, implementation, and acceptance procedures.
Proven experience working with customers and managing sales or customer-facing teams.
Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and manage complex opportunities.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
