Role & Responsibilities
Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.
Transport goods and products on assigned local routes, ensuring on-time and accurate delivery.
Perform routine checks and maintenance on the assigned vehicle, reporting any issues promptly.
Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation.
Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and other documentation as required.
Interact professionally with customers and clients, providing excellent customer service during deliveries.
Maintain effective communication with dispatch, providing updates on delivery status and any issues encountered on the route.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including but not limited to transportation, safety, and environmental regulations.
Be flexible and adaptable to changes in schedules or routes as required.
May require some weekend or evening shifts based on business needs
Requirements & Physical Demands
Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time during a shift.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and push and pull heavy wheeled equipment or carts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and crouch to access equipment, tools, or materials.
Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or operate machinery, tools, or controls
Ability to perceive and respond immediately to visual and audible safety alerts and warnings to ensure the safety of self and others in a fast-paced, hazard-sensitive environment with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and airborne particles, odors, and fumes.
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, or work platforms as required by the position.
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate
Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
Previous experience as a commercial driver is preferred.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
