Connect Staffingis hiring aStationary Engineer/ Maintenance Technician in Houston, TX,to support amanufacturing facility. This position involves operating equipment related to stator production, including metal preparation, adhesive application, rubber injection, assembly, and other related processes.
Pay range:$27- $35/hr
Shift:Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Minimum Requirements
Current Class 1 Stationary Engineer License (City of Houston, TX).
1+ year experience as a Stationary Engineer / Boiler Operator / Utility Operator and/or Industrial Maintenance Technician in an industrial setting (within the last 5 years).
Experience operating and monitoring plant utility equipment such as boilers/steam systems, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, or generators (at least one area).
Experience performing routine rounds/readings (pressure, temperature, levels, flows), responding to alarms, and documenting equipment status in logs/checklists.
Experience performing basic maintenance tasks such as preventive maintenance, minor repairs/adjustments, lubrication, and replacing wear parts (within job scope).
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of stationary/utility operations and/or industrial maintenance experience in a refinery, petrochemical, or power/utility plant environment (within the last 7 years).
High-pressure steam boiler experience (startup/shutdown, load changes, blowdown, feedwater support).
Experience with water treatment/boiler chemistry testing and documentation.
Experience with mechanical troubleshooting (pumps, valves, motors, bearings, alignment) and coordinating repairs with maintenance/operations.
Experience using DCS/SCADA or CMMS systems(e.g., Honeywell, Emerson/DeltaV, Yokogawa, SAP, Maximo)
Preferred prior experience: Stationary Engineer; Operating Engineer; Boiler Operator; Utility Operator; Utilities Technician; Plant Operator; Maintenance Technician; Industrial Maintenance Technician; Power Plant Operator; Boiler Room Operator.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor boilers/steam systems and utility equipment to support safe, continuous plant operations.
Perform routine rounds and record readings; respond to alarms and abnormal conditions per operating procedures.
Start up, shut down, and adjust equipment within job parameters; communicate equipment status with operations/lead as needed.
Perform preventive maintenance and basic mechanical tasks (lubrication, filter changes, minor adjustments, replacing wear parts) as assigned.
Troubleshoot basic equipment issues (leaks, vibration, abnormal temps/pressures) and escalate to maintenance/operations when needed.
Follow permit-to-work and LOTO processes; assist with isolations, line-ups, and equipment clearance for maintenance activities.
Complete shift logs, checklists, and maintenance documentation; communicate open issues during shift handoff.
Maintain housekeeping and safe work areas in utility/mechanical rooms; follow site safety rules and operating discipline.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical.
Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer (E-Verify hiring site)
Ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required by the site.
Ability to safely lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
Comfortable working in an industrial environment with high noise levels, high temperatures, steam lines, and moving equipment.
Must wear required PPE at all times, including steel-toe boots. Other required PPE is provided onsite.
