Job Summary

The Cloud AWS Engineer is responsible for developing conceptual, logical, and physical IT engineering designs that support infrastructure requirements across various technical and business application projects.

The role includes analyzing business requirements, ensuring traceability to infrastructure designs, assessing testing needs, preparing testing strategies, and creating implementation and transition plans.

This senior-level position requires extensive experience, strong technical proficiency, and a deep understanding of industry practices.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and support architecture and design for solutions using cloud-based technologies.

Serve as a hands-on technical engineer contributing to the development and implementation of strategic technology initiatives.

Resolve complex issues related to hardware, software, operating systems, and subsystems.

Oversee preventive actions to avoid problems in cloud hosting environments.

Implement changes to business information and technical systems.

Analyze and revise system logic and documentation as needed.

Recommend and authorize changes to reduce risk and prevent system interruptions.

Evaluate, recommend, and select new software or hardware solutions.

Perform change and problem management using standard tools.

Ensure system performance meets required standards and guidelines.

Lead complex, highly technical projects using available staff and resources.

Adhere to and enforce technical standards for programming and design practices.

Train technical staff on the use of software and hardware tools according to required procedures.

Monitor compliance with internal audit requirements and information security guidelines.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

6+ years of IT solution delivery engineering experience.

Hands-on experience with public, private, and hybrid cloud services, including planning, development, migration, and integration of applications and services.

Experience using Terraform, AWS Config, AWS Inspector, and GuardDuty.

Strong experience with AWS cloud technologies.

Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, multiple demands, ambiguity, and rapid change.

Proficiency in CI/CD automation, SDLC, AWS, Python, Bash, and Ansible.

Versatility across cloud computing, automation, scripting, and configuration management.
