Data Engineer (Snowflake/Python)

Location: 100% REMOTE (will work PST hours)

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep Snowflake expertise and strong CI/CD ownership experience. This role will design and optimize enterprise-grade data pipelines while mentoring engineers and enforcing engineering

standards

Requirements:

5+ years Snowflake (pipeline design + performance tuning).

Strong experience building CDC, incremental & bulk load pipelines.

Advanced SQL (complex multi-database environments).

4+ years Python (automation / scripting).

CI/CD for database deployments (Flyway + Jenkins).

Production job orchestration experience (Control-M).

Hands-on query tuning, clustering, warehouse sizing. Core Responsibilities:

Design & maintain scalable Snowflake data pipelines.

Implement CDC and incremental loading strategies.

Write and optimize complex cross-database SQL.

Own database CI/CD pipelines (Flyway, Jenkins, SQLFluff).

Monitor & schedule production workflows via Control-M.

Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.

Collaborate with product/business on data requirements.

Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, enforce standards.

Develop Python or shell scripts for automation. Strongly Preferred:

Experience with MuleSoft or API-based integrations.

Experience in enterprise data platform environments.

Exposure to governance and DevOps best practices.
