Base Salary: $75K - $85K/year + (up to 15% bonus based on individual and company performance)

Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) Plan with company match, PTOs, etc.

Location: Irving, TX 75061

Employment Type: Full Time/Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Summary:

This role is responsible for managing projects from the time an order is secured through to successful completion. Once an order is placed by the customer, the Sales Engineer transfers the job to the Project Manager (PM). The PM then engages directly with customers and suppliers, oversees all project deliverables, manages documentation and communication, places purchase orders, tracks materials, manages invoicing, and ensures the project is executed smoothly from start to finish. This position requires strong project management skills, the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, and the capability to learn and understand the basics of electrical equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve as the main point of contact for customers and suppliers, providing timely updates, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the order fulfillment process.

Coordinate the submittal and approval process for all project documentation.

Proposal Development: Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and bids for switchgear and related electrical equipment projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.

Service Management: Develop and coordinate service proposals for sold equipment, managing communication between vendors/manufacturers and customers for service scheduling, execution, and completion.

Issue and manage purchase orders to suppliers.

Track open and outstanding quotations with customers and suppliers to determine status, negotiate completion, and ensure timely resolution.

Follow established standards and procedures for project reporting, scheduling, communication, and documentation.

Process invoices, track payments, and ensure accurate financial closure of projects.

Manage on-site service orders, warranty issues, and service coordination during and after project completion.

Close out projects with thorough documentation and communication to all stakeholders.

Requirements, Skills & Qualifications:

Required Bachelor’s degree

Must have 3-5+ years of strong, end-to-end project management experience, preferably within the electrical industry (not telecommunications).

Experience reviewing submittals, engineering drawings, and providing quotes and proposals.

Demonstrated ability to manage full project lifecycle — from receipt of purchase order through project closeout — including handling challenging situations with customers, contractors, and suppliers.

Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and a customer service mindset.

Ability and willingness to learn the basics of electrical equipment and systems to effectively manage technical projects.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems (Solar Eclipse and SE Advantage preferred).

Knowledge of low and medium voltage systems preferred.

Experience with job management software and reading 1-lines/take-offs a plus.

Knowledge of engineered electrical equipment is highly desirable.

Competencies:

Initiative: Takes timely action to address day-to-day project needs and obstacles.

Self-Starter: Highly motivated to work independently, identify solutions, and drive progress.

Judgment: Demonstrates sound decision-making and effective problem-solving skills.

Collaborative: Works well with others to meet organizational goals and project timelines.

Detail-Oriented: Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to accuracy.

Follow-Up: Ensures all work requirements are completed on time and to standard.

Critical Thinking: Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Independent Thinker: Relies on own judgment and values to guide decisions confidently and effectively.Company Description
