As a Security Guard - Driver Entry Control Desk in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Security Officer, you will manage entry and badging, verify credentials, monitor alarms and activity, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents while delivering strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
+ Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
+ Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing and collecting badges, screening visitors and deliveries, and maintaining accurate logs and reports.
+ Monitor alarms, CCTV, and communications equipment to identify unusual activity, respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly notify site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision as directed.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, process areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, and report maintenance or security-related concerns.
+ Support emergency and incident procedures by assisting with site notifications, access restrictions, and coordination with responding personnel, while documenting actions taken in required reports.
Minimum Requirements:
+ A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
+ Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
+ Be at least 21 years of age.
+ Alarm panel experience is preferred.
+ Customer service experience is preferred.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
