Sheet Metal Assembler - 1st Shift

Job Title: Sheet Metal Assembler - 1st Shift - $21-26/hr

Job Description

In response to a new customer demand and company expansion, we are seeking dedicated Assemblers to assist with building plenums out of sheet metal. These plenums are crucial components in data centers, designed to transfer heat from units out of the roof. The role involves assisting welders and utilizing hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.

Responsibilities

Assist welders with assembling plenums using hand tools and drills.

Work with sheet metal to fabricate parts as needed.

Read and interpret blueprints for assembly instructions.

Perform assembly work with a focus on precision and accuracy.

Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.

Essential Skills

Mechanical aptitude with an ability to work with hand and power tools.

Experience in construction, particularly sheet metal roofing and siding.

Ability to read blueprints and follow assembly instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in sheet metal fabrication and duct work.

Background in carpentry or woodworking.

Familiarity with HVAC systems and installation processes.

Ability to stand, sit, and crouch for extended periods.

Work Environment

The role involves working outdoors in a yard setting temporarily until a permanent space is allocated. The position requires working on a shift from 7AM to 3:30PM, with potential for 10-12 hour shifts Monday to Friday, with an aim to avoid Saturday work

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gahanna, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
