Position Overview

This role exists for one primary reason:

Keep product moving through the building and ensure on-time delivery to our customers.

The Program Manager – Customer & Production Execution owns the internal production schedule and works directly with customers to align delivery expectations with manufacturing reality.

You will work daily with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain to ensure:

The right jobs are being worked on

Priorities are clear

Risks are identified early

Customers receive accurate, proactive updates

This is an execution role with real accountability.

Core Responsibilities

Own the Internal Production Schedule

Maintain and manage the master production schedule

Align build priorities with customer demand

Re-prioritize jobs as needed based on urgency and risk

Identify material, engineering, or capacity constraints early

Protect on-time delivery across all active programs

Customer Coordination

Serve as primary point of contact for order status

Provide accurate shipment forecasts

Run customer status meetings

Manage customer-requested Open Order Reports when required

Align customer needs with internal production capability

Production & Engineering Alignment

Attend production meetings and drive schedule clarity

Highlight hot jobs and critical builds

Coordinate with engineering and quality on issues impacting delivery

When floor issues arise, gather facts and communicate clearly to customers

Risk & Issue Management

Identify late risks before they happen

Escalate internally when deadlines are threatened

Develop recovery plans

Track open issues to resolution

Reporting & Data Management

Strong Excel skills required

Maintain schedule tracking tools and dashboards

Monitor and report On-Time Delivery performance

Use data to support prioritization decisions

Measurable improvement in OTD performance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred)

3–7+ years in electronic manufacturing or contract manufacturing

Strong understanding of PCB assembly, cable/harness assembly, and box build

Experience managing schedules in a high-mix, low-volume environment

Strong Excel skills required (pivot tables, filters, formulas required)

ERP/MRP system experience required

Comfortable working directly with production teams and customers

Organized, assertive, and proactive

Project management experience or certification (PMP, etc.) is a plus, but practical manufacturing execution experience is more important
