Autocad Drafter

Job Title: AutoCAD DrafterJob Description We are seeking an AutoCAD designer/drafter to join our Control Panel business team.

This role involves supporting the panel shop by assisting with panel layouts in AutoCAD, due to an influx of orders from new customers.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing cable tray layouts and panel placements within facilities.

This work is based at our Sterling Heights and Pennsylvania locations, where panels are manufactured.

Responsibilities * Design and draft cable tray layouts and panel placements using AutoCAD.

* Collaborate with the team to manage an influx of work for data center business.

* Work closely with the lead designer to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.

* Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to visualize and assist with 3D model placements in facilities.

Essential Skills * 3+ years of experience with AutoCAD.

* 3+ years of layout experience with control panels, specifically cable tray layout and panel placement.

* 3+ years of experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications * Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is preferred.

Work Environment The work environment is casual, with individual cubicles fostering an interactive and communicative atmosphere.

The candidate will primarily work behind a desk on panel designs and collaborate closely with the lead designer.

The culture is team-based, promoting mutual support and collaboration across various projects and roles.

Although travel is not typically required, occasional trips to the Pennsylvania location may occur.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling Heights, MI.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
