Job Title: Metal Plating Operator - 3rd Shift

Pay: $21.82 per hour + $1.00/hour shift differential

Hours: Full-time, 10:30 PM - 6:30 AM

As a Metal Plating Operator, you'll work with plating equipment, ensure product quality, and support safe and efficient production processes. Collaborate closely with the production team to meet quality standards and production goals, all while maintaining a strong focus on safety.

What You'll Do:

As a Metal Plating Operator, you will be responsible for:

Setting up, operating, and tending plating and coating machines to ensure proper application of finishes on metal parts.

Inspecting plated parts for defects such as uneven coverage, air bubbles, or surface imperfections.

Measuring electroplating thickness using micrometers and other measuring tools to ensure specifications are met.

Adjusting machine controls for optimal temperature, processing, and speed to maintain quality standards.

Performing basic maintenance on tanks, filtration systems, and plating equipment to ensure smooth operation.

Supporting material movement by operating hoists and assisting with loading and unloading parts.

Maintaining accurate production records, quality documentation, and activity logs.

Following safety procedures related to hazardous materials and waste handling to maintain a safe work environment.

Pulling work orders from the SAP production system and completing necessary confirmations.

Performing physical tasks which may include heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.

Supporting team efforts to meet production goals and uphold quality standards.

What You'll Bring:

The ideal candidate will have:

High School Diploma or GED.

Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly for safety and operational reasons.

Comfort working around chemicals or hazardous materials in a manufacturing environment.

Physical ability to lift, move, and support materials regularly.

Strong attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality work.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Preferred but not required:

Prior experience in plating, coating, or manufacturing.

Ability to read blueprints.

Basic shop math skills.

Experience with measuring instruments.
