Are you an experienced Automation Engineer or Machine Builder who enjoys owning a project from concept to completion? We are seeking a hands-on professional to support the full lifecycle of custom automation systems â from design through installation and validation.
This is a 6-month contract opportunity with potential for permanent hire. Our client is looking to have the right Automation Engineer in place by April 1st.
What Youâ ll Do
Design and develop custom automated equipment and machinery
Create detailed 3D models and drawings using CAD software
Oversee fabrication and participate in hands-on assembly
Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting
Support installation and startup at customer or plant sites
Participate in validation and acceptance testing (FAT/SAT)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality
What Weâ re Looking For
3+ years of experience in automation engineering or machine building
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on build experience
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred; PTC Creo and AutoCAD a plus)
Experience participating in validation and system acceptance testing
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and system-level issues
Bachelorâ s degree in Engineering preferred (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or related field)
Ideal Candidate
