Position Summary

We are seeking a Machine Operator with shear experience for our client in Huntsville, AL. You will set up, operate, and perform simple programming on machines used in the production of metal parts — including shears, bending, notching, punching, forming, or straightening. Responsibilities

Operate shears and other metal fabrication machines to cut and prepare materials.

Set up, operate, and monitor equipment for precision production.

Perform preventative maintenance and report production/quality data.

Follow job orders according to customer specifications.

Retrieve and assemble door parts and components as needed.

Adjust machine settings to correct quality errors.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Participate actively in the company’s safety program.

Train in additional machining workstations based on proficiency.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Previous manufacturing experience preferred; some shear experience is good to have

Additional machine operation experience (punch, press, forming, bending) preferred.

Ability to pass workstation proficiency assessments.

Basic computer and math skills; must demonstrate fraction/decimal conversions.

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs repeatedly.

Must stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Steel-toe boots required.

Must pass background screening (no drug screen).

Forklift experience a plus.

Schedule & Pay

Regular Shift: 1st Shift (4:00 AM – 2:30 PM), Monday–Thursday.

Overtime: Friday & Saturday as needed.

Pay: $17.50/hr, overtime available.
