Job Description: The Coordinator of Workforce Development is a full-time, 12-month, unrepresented position reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Workforce Development.The Coordinator is primarily responsible for overall programming directly related to the areas of professional and career workforce preparation and business and industry training.
The coordinator is responsible for the planning, scheduling, implementation, and evaluation of programs, including the selection, assignment and supervision of faculty and trainers used in facilitating these programs.
Supervisory Responsibilities: The Coordinator has direct supervisory responsibility over part-time instructors.
Responsibilities: The Coordinator of Workforce Development assumes responsibility for the following Workforce Development activities: Develops and manage contract education programs with emphasis on collaboration and workforce preparation.
Coordinate the development and implementation of education and training programs designed to serve the needs of business and industry, including planning, implementation, and fiscal and evaluation functions.
Collaborate with Academic divisions to create articulation agreements and ways to direct Workforce Development students to certificate and two-year programs.
Build partnerships with community organizations and educational agencies to expand programming and services within the College's service area.
Develop proposals, contracts, and grants for external funding of workforce development, business and industry, and public service initiatives as may be prioritized by the College for implementation to meet its mission and goals.
Stay current on state and federal funding policies and ensure compliance and revenue optimization.
Represent the College and conduct outreach within the community and the region by attending meetings and networking activities.
Perform administrative functions necessary for the routine operation of the Division of Workforce Development.
Provide the information for scheduled offerings in the workforce preparation, business and industry training, and public service areas necessary for the preparation and printing of the Program Guide.
Ensure the accuracy and currency of web page information related to the Workforce Development area of responsibility.
Participate in Faculty Governance committees, search committees, and other task forces as may be necessary for the effective operation and cross-divisional communications of the College.
Work with both Credit and Non-Credit students to assist and facilitate admission and provide ongoing academic guidance to achieve the students' educational goals.
Coordinate testing and assessment services for a variety of programs.
