What You Get To Do in Extrusion
Join our team as a Machine Operator 1 in Extrusion. You will be responsible for the safe handling and processing of aluminum extrusions. This role is crucial for ensuring our products meet quality standards and are prepared efficiently for further processing.
Maintain regular attendance and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Complete tasks efficiently, prioritizing safety and quality at all times.
Collaborate with team members and management to ensure a smooth production process.
Willingness to be trained for tasks in other areas as needed.
Remove the end scrap from saw in a safe manner.
Measure the length of the metal to make sure it is the correct length.
Place metal on the correct rack, separating paint and anodize orders utilizing the saw shuttle.
Aid the saw operator in the quality inspections, collection of samples, blow saw chips and operate saw shuttle.
Change out racks on conveyor line.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for up to 12 hours.
Capable of twisting, bending, and kneeling as needed.
Able to lift, push, pull, or move up to 75lbs individually or 150lbs with assistance.
Ability to grasp metal and operate hooks and clamps manually.
Capacity to lift aluminum extrusions overhead and at various levels with or without assistance.
Continuous reaching, handling, and grasping, with frequent turning of the upper body.
Visual acuity for inspecting products for quality flaws.
Work in outdoor climate conditions, consistent with regional weather patterns (heat, humidity, etc.).
What We Are Looking For
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic computer literacy.
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills under time constraints.
Effective communication skills with peers and management.
Willingness to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts, with potential overtime.
Preference for candidates with previous manufacturing experience.
