Position Overview:

The Shipping & Logistics Coordinator role is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing outbound shipments to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of goods. This role serves as the primary point of contact for carriers and logistics partners while driving continuous improvement through data analysis and process optimization.

Responsibilities:

Shipment Coordination

Plan, schedule, and track outbound shipments across domestic and international lanes

Coordinate with internal teams (production, sales and customer service) to align shipping timelines

Monitor shipment on time statistics and proactively resolve delays, exceptions, or delivery issues

Identify and resolve shipment disputes with customers and internal stakeholders in a timely manner.

Carrier & Partner Management

Track and monitor the various stages of sales development, assisting sales representatives in maintaining centralized and organized records.

Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL partners

Evaluate carrier performance using KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost, and service reliability

Support carrier onboarding, contract renewals, and performance reviews

Regulator & Customs Compliance

Ensure all shipments comply with applicable regulations, including customs, trade, and safety requirements

Coordinate accurate documentation (commercial invoices, customs declarations, regulatory certifications)

Act as a liaison with carriers . internal teams and brokers to resolve customs holds, audits, or compliance inquiries

Data Analysis & Process Improvement

Analyze shipping and logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

Help maintain SOPs for shipping, customs, and carrier interactions

Periodically review shipping workflows, identify process gaps and work with stakeholders to deploy improvements with the development team.

Strong Excel and Google spreadsheets skills are a must.

Knowledge of advanced analytics such as scripting and knowledge of Python analytics libraries would be good to have.

Requirements:

Experience in logistics, shipping, supply chain, or operations (domestic and/or international)

Strong understanding of carrier operations, freight pricing, and shipping documentation

Working knowledge of US customs and trade compliance is a strong asset

Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable improvements

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Comfortable working in fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Key Competencies:

Reliable, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.

Capable of effectively working within a team structure & independently.

Available full-time Monday to Friday, for 8 hour shifts 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time), with flexibility to work overtime if required.

Ability to work from home / remote

Reliable high speed internet access and computer (camera, microphone) in home office
