Description:
SUMMARY
Responsible for all activities associated with assisting the Operator and Helper with efficient, quality conscious, safe and productive operation of the machine. This listing is for a 2nd Shift Assistant from 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm, all new hires will be required to train on 1st shift for 2-4 weeks before transitioning to 2nd shift.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Follows all safety procedures associated with machine center.
Assist Operator with accurately setting up machine utilizing proper setup techniques
Verify stock for order being run.
Assist with installation of cutting dies and print plates, if required.
Assist with machine operation including feeding sheets, troubleshoot problems throughout production run.
Operate machine when needed.
Work at pace set by the machine operator to achieve conformance to production schedule.
Read and follow shop order instructions.
Monitor incoming sheet quality and specifications.
Assist operator with adhering to production schedule.
Enter data in computer and complete appropriate paperwork
Understands and participates as required in quality checks.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Maintains high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping in work area.
Participates in cross training of duties.
Additional duties may be assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience
Previous experience in the corrugated industry is helpful.
Ability to read and write English.
Ability to read tape measures and perform basic mathematical calculations
