The company specializes in complex, legacy, and high-reliability components supporting land, air, and sea systems. They operate in a highly regulated environment where quality, traceability, and precision are critical.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Maintain and manage the Quality Management System (ISO 9001 / AS9100 / AS9120)

Lead all incoming, in-process, and final inspections

Perform and approve First Article Inspections (FAIRs)

Program, operate, and train staff on CMM equipment

Supervise and prioritize the workload of the inspection team

Manage M&TE and calibration schedules

Prepare documentation for source inspections and external audits

Maintain drawings library, CoCs, and inspection records

Verify supplier and internal outputs before shipment

Update quality forms and processes as requirements change

Write, implement, and track CARs and preventive actions

The Successful Applicant

Ideal Candidate:

Mechanical Engineering degree or 7+ years in machining/inspection

Previous QC Manager or Senior Inspector experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing

Strong ability to read drawings and GD&T

Proficiency with inspection tools including gauges, optical tools, and CMM

Experience generating inspection reports, FAIRs, and CoCs

Familiarity with MIL-Standards and industry requirements

Strong communication skills for interfacing with customers, vendors, and internal teams
